hair comb toothing
Extremely wide teeth
For extra large curls.
Tooth width 6mm – distance 6mm
The extremely wide toothing is the youngest toothing.
My father, Martin Groetsch, developed the extra-wide toothing at the end of the 90s, because there was an increasing demand from customers with very curly hair.
The extremely wide toothing is particularly suitable for strong and very curly hair. The curls remain.
The more curly your hair is, the more sensible it is to use extremely wide teeth with a thin or pointed tip, so that you can comb the curly hair as smoothly as possible.
Since the majority of our customers do not want sharp tooth tips, we ask you to leave us a note when ordering if you are interested.
Extra wide teeth
Tooth width 4mm - distance 3mm
Our extra wide toothing has been the best-selling toothing for years, as you can comb almost any wet or dry hair gently and easily with it and it is very smoothly on the scalp.
Whether as a curling comb, grip comb or as a styling comb, whether in combination with other teeth, with the extra wide toothed comb you comb straight to curly, fine to thick hair easily.
The toothing is also very popular for combing through the
Hair before hair care brushing with the boar bristle brush
used.
Do you prefer round or pointed tooth tips? Please let us know per Mail after ordering.
Each comb is unique and pure handmade with passion.
Wide teeth
The wide toothing is a classic that has been around for over 50 years.
Today we recommend the wide teeth for combing fine to normal thick and straight to slightly wavy hair.
When combing through with the wide teeth, you sort and style the hair straight, even with slightly wavy hair.
You will find the wide toothing on our handle combs, as a styling comb with one toothing or in combination with the wide toothing.

Fine teeth
Tooth width 1mm - distance 0.8mm
The fine teeth are ideal for combing hair smoothly and for parting as you wish.
Please only comb wet hair with the fine teeth if you have very fine, not too much and short hair.
More and more customers reduce or completely do without shampoo or hair soap. If you are looking for an alternative to the wild boar bristle brush in this case, you can also comb your hair with a fine-toothed comb. The finer the toothing, the larger the surface of the wood to absorb the hair fat and release it again in the dry areas of the hair. Works on fine to normal thick hair. If you have a lot of hair, strong hair or frizzy hair, we recommend coarse toothing.
First sort the hair with a wider tooth and then comb the hair with the fine tooth to care for it.
Woods such as maple and cherry absorb hair fat well into the wood.
Extra fine teeth
Tooth width 0.8mm - distance 0.4mm
In the past, the extra-fine teeth were used to comb out dust, dandruff or vermin.
That was a time when people bathed on Sundays and washed their hair - a long time ago.
Today you can find the extra-fine toothing in the classic dust comb or hair cutting comb (spacing 0.5mm).
The dust comb is also often used as a beard comb, for beards that are not too thick or for the hair of infants and small children to gently remove scabs from the scalp and hair.
