Handle combs
The great advantage of a handle comb made of wood or horn is that you hold the comb firmly in your hand due to the handle and it rarely falls on the floor. Unfortunately, horn combs, especially styling combs made of horn, rarely get along with the tiled floor in the bathroom. If a horn comb falls on a stone or tiled floor, it is much more likely to break than a wooden comb. This is due to the material.
Handle combs made of wood are durable and especially in case of tension in the shoulders or limited mobility of the arms, you can get to the hair faster with a handle comb than with another comb. The most commonly produced teeth today are the wide tooth and the coarse tooth. The coarse tooth is suitable for straight to curly, short to long and thin to thick hair and is used by about 80% of people.
We offer handle combs with the wide teeth in lengths of 18 cm and 19 cm. 18 cm for the normal sized hand. The handle comb with 19 cm length has one more tooth and a larger handle so that it fits well in a large hand. Handle combs with coarse teeth are available in 3 different sizes. We recommend the coarse teeth for straight to slightly wavy, long to short and fine to normal hair. 19 cm length for the large hand, 18 cm length for the normal hand and 16 cm length for the fine hand. What is the difference between a handle comb, a grip comb and a toupee comb? We understand a grip comb as a comb that lies firmly in the hand. Our handle combs are suitable for combing through wet and dry hair and for styling. Style combs are toupee combs, and since the word toupee comb also describes the way the comb is used to comb, we have decided to use the uniform name toupee comb. Since we only produce one type of toupee comb, you will find it under the handle combs. Our toupee combs are made from the wood of the wild service tree. The comb is suitable for styling dry hair. You hold the hair with one hand upwards and with the other hand you hold the toupee comb, reach into the hair and rub it to create volume. Especially when toupeeing, it is important that the wood is smooth and elastic. You will receive each of the handle combs made of at least 4 different woods. Maple wood, service tree wood, hornbeam wood or cherry wood. Each wood has its own special feature. You can find information about the different types of wood here: Types of wood
