How do I find my favorite comb?

Wie finde ich meinen Lieblings Kamm?

Yes, every morning I stand in front of the mirror, comb my hair with my favorite comb and have a smile on my face.

Dear readers,

Today I cordially invite you to start the day with a smile. You have found your ideal comb. They comb wet and dry hair.

As your favorite comb glides through your hair and across your scalp, you notice that subtle invigorating tingling sensation spreading from the crown of your head to the tips of your toes and there - there it is - it happens all by itself - there's your smile on your face.

Experienced 1000 times...

In consultations I find out in great detail where the shoe pinches with you. The reasons for this are very diverse and cannot be lumped together – and yes, I love these puns.

There is often an impression that a comb tugs, gets static, just doesn't feel good and scratches the scalp. Yes, there are such combs – unfortunately far too many.

I would like to tell you about an experience of my father that we have experienced more than 1000 times in various forms:
Decades ago my father was invited to show our old craft in a posh hotel. He took our mobile comb cutting machine, a few selected combs and presented our profession.

Then a man came, wearing a suit and a tie. It seemed as if 2 worlds collided. The craftsman who was practically dressed and the conservative suit wearer who until then had bought a new plastic comb almost every week because he handled it carelessly and kept losing the combs.

As the suit wearer was waiting for his wife, he found out about my father's work. My father passionately showed how he works and explained why a wooden comb is healthy. Out of sympathy, the man bought a wooden comb with fine teeth and went to meet his wife.

My father saw the man take the comb out of the box, comb his hair, turn around and come straight back. With wide eyes and a smile on his face, he said to my father:
"That pleasant tingling sensation. I can feel it from the top of my head to the tips of my toes. Many thanks for your great work.”

We've had experiences like this quite often and we're always happy when we put a smile on people's faces with our combs.

How do I find my favorite comb?

Have you bought a comb so many times and spent a lot of money on it? Unpacked at home – tried it out and put it aside again as unsuitable.

"Frustration arises because the comb doesn't fit."

My claim as a comb maker is:
"My favorite comb has to be beautiful, feel good in the hand, comb my hair wet and dry easily and pull up the corners of my mouth."

In order to feel the tingling, I put the wooden comb or horn comb at an angle of about 45° and comb my hair from the forehead to the nape of the neck. The energy channels on our skin run up the front of the upper body to the crown of the head and along the back of the head down again (very simplified representation - I know).

Comb and brush with the flow of the energy channels soothes you and has an invigorating effect.

If you have long and longer hair, I recommend that you first comb your hair piece by piece from below before you comb your hair from the forehead over the nape of the neck to the tips of the hair. When doing this, please remain conscious with the teeth of the comb on the scalp. You choose the strength of the pressure.

Can't decide how strong the pressure should be?

Feel into yourself - how strong can it be that the corners of your mouth go up?

What must haves does your comb have?

3 tips from me

  1. Assuming that you are not interested in a plastic comb, choose between the materials wood or horn. Both materials have their advantages.
  2. You know for sure if you have thin, normal or curly hair. With the help of the classification into 3 different hair qualities, you will receive suggestions for your hair type.
  3. Wet hair may prefer to be combed with a wider tooth and dry hair with a finer tooth. Our best-selling wooden comb is: #1A - Wide Coarse Tooth Comb .
