Information on cleaning and care

Cleaning and care

Wooden hair comb:
Please clean Groetsch wooden combs with lukewarm water and, if necessary, with a mild soap. You can remove sebum and grease from the tooth base with a hand washing brush. Please do not soak it in water, but clean it under running water and then put it on a towel to dry.
The wooden comb does not need regular oiling for care, because it looks forward to being able to absorb your hair oil directly from the scalp.

Horn hair comb:
Please oil your horn comb once or twice a year. Also excess
You can use body lotion or body oil for care. It will remain a loyal companion to you for a very long time. If necessary, you can clean your horn comb under lukewarm water with a mild soap. Hold the comb under running water while cleaning and avoid leaving the comb in the water.

After cleaning, dry your comb with a towel and oil it immediately afterwards.

We hope you enjoy combing.

Cleaning and care of natural hair brushes
We recommend combing the hair with a wide-toothed comb after each brushing
remove and then tap out the skin flakes. Since natural hair brushes absorb your hair oil very well and release it again into dry areas of the hair, the brush can become oversaturated. You feel it because the hair feels heavy after brushing. This can be every 3-4 weeks or 3-4 months. Anytime: Right now, wash your brush under lukewarm running water with your mild shampoo (ideally mineral-free) and lay your brush, bristles down, on a towel to dry. The next time you brush, the bristles are automatically cared for by your hair oil.

Cleaning and care of the hairbrush with wooden pins
Before cleaning with lukewarm water and a mild soap, please remove the hair from your brush. The easiest way to do this is to grab the hair at the side and pull it out in one go. While you clean your brush with lukewarm water and a mild soap, you can also use a toothbrush that is no longer needed to remove sebum and dust on the wooden pins and on the natural rubber cushion. Please refrain from soaking in water and metal brush cleaner to avoid damaging your brush. To dry, please lay your brush down with the pins.

We hope you enjoy brushing.
