Wood accessories
The summer barbecue, the preparation of pulled pork, the perfect spaghetti aglio e olio or the Asian stir-fry. Freshly prepared dishes want to be served. You have invited guests, are celebrating a birthday, wedding or an anniversary and with our salad servers and spaghetti lifters you can serve the delicious dishes in style. Our kitchen cutlery is salad servers, spaghetti servers and spaghetti measures in one.
You can choose between four different types of wood: maple, beech, service tree and cherry.
If you are looking for a rather calm, light wood, you will usually choose maple. If you like it darker and a little more robust, go for beech. The wood of the cherry is cheerful and lively and the wood of the service tree is soft and harmonious.
My favourite is the wood of the service tree. The wood of the service tree is much harder and finer-pored than that of maple, beech or cherry, and I can clean it most easily. When I take the handle of the salad servers or the spaghetti server in my hand while serving, I have the feeling that the wood nestles against my hand.
The kitchen range is rounded off by wooden boards made of maple, beech or cherry and other kitchen accessories. I can't say exactly how long we have had the salad servers - spaghetti lifters in our range. It's been about 2 decades. We have fans who have cherished their spaghetti servers since then and who buy them again and again - as gifts.
It's occasions like a move, a new kitchen or a gift for someone who loves to cook and enjoys serving.
The nice thing about giving a salad servers or a spaghetti server as a gift is that the recipient will always think fondly of it when they use it.
It's the same with our Groetsch combs and hairbrushes.
If you give a wooden comb or hairbrush as a gift, you can be sure that at least they will think of it in the morning.
Use, cleaning and care
Take one lifter in each hand and carefully reach under the finished dish. Bring the lifters together so that the tines interlock. This way you can take delicate food directly from the pot or bowl and arrange it specifically on the plate.
We also like to use our salad lifters or spaghetti lifters for sauerkraut, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach and asparagus. For all dishes that you want to serve gently and carefully.
Please clean the wooden salad shovel or our spaghetti shovel with lukewarm water and washing-up liquid. Food residues can be easily removed with a dishwashing brush. Then place it on a tea towel to dry and oil it occasionally with a light-coloured salad oil of your choice.
